The girlfriend spends a lot of time on Pinterest so I got suckered into making this.

I used some 1" flat bar to wrap around channels I'd filed into the beam. Please excuse the less than brilliant welding; the heat made the sap come to the surface and affect the weld. Some good old satin black later and my part was done.

There are several things I'd differently if I ever did this again...but I don't see that being a common occurrence really.
