Peugeot 307 1.6 16v Rapier

When a colleague of mine bought a new car, they offered their old car to me. It needed a little work, but I figured with a quick spruce up and a few fixes, it would be a nice little earner.

First things first were to replace the flaky bonnet with one the same colour from a breakers yard.

The next was to fix the interior fan wiring, which in prone to melting on these. I underestimated the amount of work involved in replacing this.

One last job was to fix the indicator stalk; the spring loaded mechanism inside had worn out and the indicator didn't hold in the correct position. As any used item would have likely been just as worn, I dismantled it and had a new 'tip' 3D printed.

All sounds very clever doesn't it?

Sad thing is, these cars are also very prone to killing their ECU if the battery isn't disconnected and connected in a very specific way.

So, I'd killed it.

After deciding against taking an axe to it and setting it on fire, it went up for sale as spares of repair and it was gone.
